Tham Phraya Nakhon

What :

Tham Phraya Nakhon is said to be Thailand’s most photographed cave. At its heart rests a royal pavilion shining brightly in the sunlight beaming through the open ceiling of the cave.

This otherworldly sight was created in the late 19th century for King Rama V, and features his signature as well as his grandson’s, King Rama VII, on the wall.

Travelers on tours of Thailand come to the cave via a walking trail from Hat Laem Sala beach to experience the otherworldly serenity inside.

When :

The best light for photographing this natural and historical wonder shines through the cave’s open roof during the high season running from October through March.

Where :

Fairly remote, Tham Phraya Nakhon is accessed from the sandy shores of Hat Laem Sala beach by a walking trail. The beach is best reached by private boat.

The cave is located in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park around 20 miles south of Hua Hin, Thailand.

Who :

A great hike ending in an otherworldly refuge of the former kings of Siam, Tham Phraya Nakhon is a great addition to any Thailand luxury tour itinerary.

Appropriate Attire :

Travelers should dress for a hike, and bring along swimwear so they can cool off on the beach after hiking back from the cave.

Bruce Goldman -  November 2013

Having a kind aversion toward travel companies, because of my own ability to develop an original itinerary, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of ease and convenience this company provided.

My wife and I decided on a whim to get married and honeymoon in Thailand (since that was her number one destination spot). Not being familiar with that part of the world, and having already run the gamut of a 200 person wedding party, it was in our best interest to hire an experienced company to make our lives just a little bit easier for the honeymoon. Best decision ever.

We reworked the itinerary with the specialist two or three times and probably drove her nuts. Still, they were extremely patient and found us the best deal to suit our needs.

Daily activities planned for us included excursions to important sites such as the Tiger Temple, river boat tours through the canals and authentic spicy thai indulgences (J woop, my favorite!).

So, if you're looking for extra value added to a travelling experience, I would definitely recommend hiring Easy Yours. They know what they're doing.'
