Phetchabun
The northern, central, and northeastern regions of Thailand all border the province of Phetchabun. Centrally located on the Pa Sak river basin, the province is bordered by mountain ranged along the western and eastern sectors. This makes the land rich and fertile, ideal for agriculture. The name itself means “land of crops and foods.”
Today the province is a growing force in Thailand’s tourism business, and the even temperatures and scenic landscapes of the region make for an ideal travel destination. Coupled with 1,400 years of history, Phetchabun is a site not to be missed.
Phetchabun is divided into the following districts: Muang, Lom Sak, Lom Kao, Chon Daen, Nong Phai, Wichian Buri, Si Thep, Bueng Sam Phan, Wang Pong, Nam Nao and Khao Kho.
