Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

What :

Established in 1966, Khao Sam Roi Yot is Thailand’s first national marine park.

Meaning 300 mountain peaks in English, Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park derives its name from the jagged limestone mountain that dominates the area’s landscape.  The nearly 40 square mile national park’s pristine beaches, mangrove swamps, and pineapple plantations make its boundaries a must-see on Thailand luxury tour itineraries.

A highly diverse ecological zone, the park is home to 300 species of birds and a host of other plant and animal life.

Tham Phraya Nakhon is one of the park’s most visited areas. Beneath a sinkhole that fully collapsed centuries ago leaving open air above the stone floor, this cave features a royal pavilion built by King Rama V in 1890 that rests in a natural garden-like enclosure often bathed strikingly in golden sunlight.

When :

The best time to visit is during the cooler months from February to June, but travelers on luxury tours of Thailand find the area surprisingly dry during the July and August monsoons.

Where :

About an hour’s drive south from Hua Hin, Khao Sam Roi Yot is best accessed by private car.

Who :

Splendid beaches, unique geology, and diverse wildlife draw travelers from across the globe to enjoy one of Thailand’s best known national parks.

Appropriate Attire :

Dress for a hike, and possibly a swim, if your itinerary brings you to the park.

Bruce Goldman -  November 2013

Having a kind aversion toward travel companies, because of my own ability to develop an original itinerary, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of ease and convenience this company provided.

My wife and I decided on a whim to get married and honeymoon in Thailand (since that was her number one destination spot). Not being familiar with that part of the world, and having already run the gamut of a 200 person wedding party, it was in our best interest to hire an experienced company to make our lives just a little bit easier for the honeymoon. Best decision ever.

We reworked the itinerary with the specialist two or three times and probably drove her nuts. Still, they were extremely patient and found us the best deal to suit our needs.

Daily activities planned for us included excursions to important sites such as the Tiger Temple, river boat tours through the canals and authentic spicy thai indulgences (J woop, my favorite!).

So, if you're looking for extra value added to a travelling experience, I would definitely recommend hiring Easy Yours. They know what they're doing.'
